Tom Slovenski of Cellular Forensics LLC, a Certified Cellular Forensics Examiner and Certified Historical Cell Tower Records Analyst, will discuss what you should know about cell tower evidence, what to look for in your cases, and how an expert might help.

Medical Records Revealed: This lecture will cover how to trudge through medical records, how to determine if reports are missing, the best resources for defining medical terminology, and when it’s time to hire an expert.

Alleged Injuries: This lecture will cover the most common injuries seen in assault cases including simple abrasions and lacerations, broken bones, brain injuries, stabbings and gunshot wounds. The lecture will also explain how those injuries are normally treated.

This training discussed how to blend the moral psychology Mr. Rogers relied on, along with other presentation tips, to craft persuasive talks and motions—no matter the audience. In cooperation with the Wayne County Indigent Defense Services Department, NACDL is excited to be offering a FREE training opportunity to Wayne County assigned counsel, NDS attorneys, investigators, mitigation specialists and other defender support professionals. (if you are not on the Wayne County list or an NDS staff member but are interested in attending, please klavoy@ndsdetroit.org)

Supported by a grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, NACDL is working with nationally-renown trainer, Deja Vishny, to offer a unique program that includes a mix of presentations and small group breakout sessions built around realistic fact patterns

The 8-week program will be offered as a live webinar on Fridays from 1-3pm, beginning September 17 and ending December 3^rd. All presentations will be recorded and available for on-demand viewing. Participants will be eligible for CLE hours that can be applied towards Wayne County and MIDC Standard 1 training requirements. (Also meets the required course for Wayne’s Tier 1 course)
